The Neurobiology of Sexual Behavior (Psyc 328) is an upper-level seminar course taught by Professor Laura Been in the Psychology Department and Neuroscience Program at Haverford College. The course explores the relationship between the brain, hormones, and sex behavior. In doing so, students read, present, and critically analyze journal articles that probe these brain-behavior relationships. We take a comparative approach to this topic, discussing papers about the neurobiology of sex behavior in a wide variety of species, and look for similarities and differences throughout. As an assignment for the course, each student creates a short podcast episode inspired by a journal article that they presented during the semester.
